the lowercase 'a'

I've been generating the idea for this blog for a long time - inspired by the dozens of music, craft, food, and decor blogs I devour daily, even as brick-and-mortar publications are folding right and left.

The real impetus for this blog comes from a little downsizing in my own life - I got word this morning that Memphis Music Confidential, a blog I maintained for the Commercial Appeal for the last 14 months, is grinding to a halt.

Hence my current concept, which is to combine my love of music, art and food with my craft and home decor ideas to create one gargantuan "A's List." I hope you'll come here for a recipe, for inspiration for hitting the estate sales, for a new song to download, or for info about a great book or magazine article.

And I hope we'll all stay here for a little while!
